Abstract
<p>Rural Community Tourism (RCT) is an activity that contributes to the economic, social and sustainable development of a country in rural areas. In this research, the goal is to develop an intelligent platform (IP) to meet the needs of different participants in RCT. It presents the experience of focusing on requirements engineering, going through different iterations where a SWOT analysis was performed, while using extreme programming, complying with ISO 25010, etc. The accurate identification of requirements is essential for the implementation and usability of the platform to have a social impact on the direct participants.</p>
