Abstract
The study aimed to determine the psychometric properties of the ARMS in patients with arterial hypertension from health centers in East Lima. This instrumental research included 367 participants (48.77% men and 51.23% women) aged 35–80 years ( M = 64.11; SD = 9.49). This study evaluated content validity, internal structure validity using confirmatory factor analysis, measurement invariance by sex, and reliability. The results demonstrated adequate content validity and a unidimensional structure with good model fit (CFI = 0.979; TLI = 0.973; SRMR = 0.064; RMSEA = 0.105). Additionally, measurement invariance by sex and age was established, and the instrument demonstrated satisfactory reliability (ω = 0.92). In conclusion, the ARMS showed robust psychometric properties in patients with arterial hypertension from health centers in East Lima.
