Abstract
Training in waste management, by transforming knowledge, attitudes, and practices, is crucial for achieving more sustainable and efficient restaurants. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Eco Restaurantes program in improving knowledge, attitudes, and practices related to solid waste management among restaurant owners in the historic center of Ivirgarzama, Cochabamba, Bolivia. The research was conducted using a quantitative, applied approach with a pre-experimental pretestposttest design. The sample consisted of 20 restaurant managers, selected through intentional convenience sampling. The results show that after the intervention, 100% of the owners achieved adequate knowledge, 95% adopted positive attitudes, and 100% transformed their practices. It is concluded that the Eco Restaurantes program was highly effective, achieving significant improvements in knowledge, positive attitudes, and responsible practices among restaurant owners, thereby consolidating its comprehensive impact on sustainable solid waste management in Ivirgarzama.
