Abstract
This research analyzes the relationship between the use of e-commerce and the business performance of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Montemorelos, Nuevo León. Using a quantitative approach and a correlational design, the study sought to determine the influence of digitalization on the performance of these organizations. Data was collected through surveys administered to 100 local businesses to assess the impact of digitalization on their development and growth. The study tested a null hypothesis (H0), which denied the predictive power of e-commerce, against an alternative hypothesis (H1) that affirmed it. The results of the regression analysis identified a positive and significant effect on business performance (B = 0.551, p < 0.001). Since the significance value was less than the α level of 0.05, H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, confirming that the adoption of digital tools is a key predictor of business success in the studied context.
